Hello, Good bye!

I hope you had a lovely Holiday season with your family. Whether or not their blood related doesn't matter! We headed down to Southern California and split 6 days between 3 families. I'm tired just thinking about it! But really, it was fun and surprisingly relaxing. In this home, we celebrate Christmas. The coming of the Messiah; our Savior!

Hubby totaled the truck before we left (he is safe. Thank you Jesus!), so we bought a car while home! Welcome to the family Ford Flex!

Now that the New Year is off and running (and I'm not sneaking in cat naps and exploring with the hubs since he's back at work), I figured it's time to talk about the hopes and dreams that come with the New Year. A few years back I heard about picking a word to describe what you would like the complete (new) year to be for you. Examples; health, prosperity, patience, intention, faith... This year I chose the word "balance". I want to better balance my life which includes (but definitely isn't limited too and in no particular order), work, marriage, health, bank account, family relations, friendships, fitness, and my home. Last year was a bit hectic and crazy for the first half... then it came to a screeching slow down. A slow down like that leads to just kind of doing whatever for this girl. This year though, I want balance across the board.

Now for a little "hello, good bye!":

Hello to a bright new year; Good bye well-loved-but-definitely-done-with-you 2013.

Hello hope and change; Good bye complacency.

Hello baby; Good bye "sleep until whenever".

Hello changing body; Good bye same size.

Hello healthy, wholesome food (I've missed you); Good bye over processed junk and too much sugar!

Hello research: Good bye "go with the flow" attitude.

Hello intention (way more than I was used to); Good bye passivity.

Hello BALANCE: Good bye flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants.

My hope is for you to be refreshed and energized for the new year. Stick to your plans. It's always worth it!
