High Five for Friday

Who's excited for the weekend?! Me too. Ours will consist of a garage sale, church, and hopefully some time at the river. I'm linking up with Lauren. Lauren and her sister Kate are too cute. No, I don't know them in "real" life but what they share is always sweet, encouraging and cute!

ONE. Decor.
Kristyn (sis-in-law) and I bought something we both LOVE for our living room. The vase was more than 80% off most of the stems were discounted. It brings a MUCh needed pop of color to our dark living room. What do you think? Do you have any ideas for our living room?

{SCORE}

{our living room. don't mind the current state of crazy.}

{it's big. it's dark. what are your thoughts? p.s. the curtains are normally open but it was messing with my photo.}

TWO. Borrowing books!
A friend lent me the first book of this series when I lived in KCMO (thank Carissa!). Now I get to finish the series. Woo hoo!

 {i have come to LOVE historical fiction.}

THREE. Berry picking.
I mean seriously, how can that not be a top five?! I had never been and it was fun! I plan on making jam and a pie. We picked huckleberries and blackberries. I'm grateful that we were invited by a couple friend in our church. :)
{thankful for the amount we were able to get}

FOUR. Wedding preparations.
On Wednesday, I went bridesmaid dress shopping and to see the venue for a friend. On Thursday, I went to a bridal shower. I love the festivities leading up to weddings and I really enjoy encouraging people in their marriages.

FIVE. Rug Cleaning!
Who gets excited/happy over dropping their rug off for a cleaning? This girl. That's right! Remember this rug? When we first moved every thing up here we had to leave the trailer loaded and parked for a few weeks. My rug was wrapped up in plastic but an outdoor cat still managed to pee on it. Ugh! So, for $40 it's getting cleaned! Yay!

{this is my rug. i'll be putting it in the craft room/guest room}

How was your week?

Want to know something that is NOT a high? Dealing with fleas. Ugh.

High Five for Friday

I am happily welcoming Friday.

Every Friday (except last week... sorry) I link up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk.
It is meant to be a reflection on the "highs" of your week and to help you focus on the good things, big or small, when there can be so many bad things.

Here we go...

ONE. God's perfect timing.
Last Friday, February 10th, was my birthday. It was also the day I was offered a postion with f'real and I accepted that postion. God's timing is perfect and never ceases to amaze me. I'm SO excited to start with f'real on March 1st.

TWO. Friends.
On Saturday, we had a birthday party full of taco's, games,
great people, the really tall and amazing chocolate cake from Costco and milk.
I LOVE that cake. It's my favorite. Oh, and I love my friends too. ;)

THREE. The Hunger Games Trilogy.

Found here

This is an intense trilogy. I'm 24 and I loved it but also recognize it's intense. I think some 13 year olds could handle and other need to wait. I will say this. I'm so glad it ended the way it did! I wasn't sure how I wanted it to end and then when it did, I knew it was the only right way to end it.

FOUR. Chiropractors.
{This was the cheesiest and creepiest picture I could find...}
If you didn't catch it on Facebook, I got rearended pretty hard two Wednesday's ago (2/1/12). With the job change comes a much better health insurance set up for me. Yay!

FIVE. Being Spoiled.
{This is not the case but it's funny}
My hubby spoiled me real good from my brithday until, well, he's still kinda doing it. I'm a blessed girl. Also, I'm taking advantage of all the time I get to spend with him. The next month won't be that way so much.

Be sure to link up!

What are your high fives for the week?
If you dont have any, work on seeing the small things that make life beautiful!

Peace out lovlies!

High Five for Friday

It's that time again dearies. A time to relfect on the week!
It's Friday and I'm happy about that.

I'm linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk for this weekly posting, "High Five for Friday".
It's meant for us to take a step back and recognize the good things in our week!
Here we go!

1) High Five for YOUR Voice!!:
I'm thankful for all the people taking time to sign the petition against SOPA and PIPA.
We can not allow our government to censor the internet.
People, this is what's going on in countries like China.

2) High Five for Prioritizing Relationships:
On Tuesday night's my family goes to Breakfast Club.
Breakfast Club is just us choosing a place and going to dinner.
It's a blast.
However, this Tuesday the hubby and I decided we needed some
 "husband and wife" time.
I love that man.
God is good.

3) High Five for Books:
So excited to get this book from the liabrary for book club.
Guess what I'll be doing this weekend...

4) High Five for Squirt Bottles:
In case you don't know, Mitzy (my kitzy cat), is C.R.A.Z.Y.
Yay for squirt bottles that aid in our trying to chill her OUT.
'Nough said.

5) High Five for Getting-Enough-Sleep-During-the-Week!!!:
I'm on a roll, babies, and I really enjoy sleep.

What are your 5 highlights and what-have-you's for the week?
